Claire is a final year English and Modern History student at the University of St Andrews. Her research interests include transnational, global, spatial, and international history, Central and Eastern European history, gender history, and the history of care work and social reproduction. Her current research focus is early twentieth-century Esperanto speakers in Scotland, specifically Scottish women who participated in local Esperanto societies. She is also the founder of Hot Girl Histories, a podcast dedicated to exploring women’s histories and queer histories not written into textbooks. She was a curator of Scotland, Postcards, and The Creation of an International Language and is currently contributing to a monograph on Esperanto in Scotland.
