A Medieval She-Wolf: Eleanor of Aquitaine
Eleanor of Aquitaine is considered to be one of the most powerful and formidable women of the High Middle Ages (c.1100-1300); she was brave, outrageous, artistic, adventurous, and political. Throughout her life (and career) she was the queen of two different nations, wife to two warring kings, led hundreds into the crusades and managed her own duchy all at the same time.
In the words of Eleanor Janega, "everyone goes gaga for Eleanor".
